Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. PCMF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible. Our federal tax ID number is 82-4231955.
How do I take advantage of matching gifts?
A matching gift is a charitable donation by a corporation that matches an employee’s donation dollar for dollar, or more. 65% of Fortune 500 companies offer a matching gift program. Please contact the HR department of your company to see if they offer one so that you can double or triple your contribution to PCMF! If you would like a short and simple email template for this purpose, please contact us.
Yes. Up to $100,000 of your annual RMD (required minimum distribution) from IRAs (individual retirement accounts) may be distributed directly to a 501(c)(3) public charity, enabling you to avoid paying income taxes on that amount. This option is known as a QCD (qualified charitable distribution). To take full advantage of the tax benefits, be sure to direct your IRA to distribute the funds directly to PCMF, rather than directing the distribution to you to make the donation. Please inquire at your IRA brokerage or contact us for more information.
